What ever the 'event' that you are planning, we want you to have the assurance of exclusivity, control, and the very best facilities that you and your guests would expect. 

From the moment your guests arrive, with spacious adjacent car parking, level access to the gardens and marquee, a wonderful peaceful rural setting, magnificent lined and carpeted marquee decorated entirely as you want it, they will appreciate what a great place you have chosen for your special occasion!  

The huge marquee (30 metres x 12 metres) contains a catering section at the far end, with power and water, and can be partitioned for smaller numbers. Tables, chairs and dance floor are all provided. 

Modern toilets, with disabled facilities, are close by, and low level, non intrusive lighting will allow guests to move about safely after dark. 

If your 'event' is a wedding, there is a large en-suite bedroom, on the first floor of the house, especially available to the bride and groom, and their immediate entourage, during the reception. (please note that we do not offer accommodation)

What we offer. You will have the exclusive use of the marquee and gardens for your event, to arrange and control the proceedings just as you wish.  We are not event managers, we just want to offer you a high quality and unique venue for you to plan a fantastic function for your guests.  You will have access the day before to arrange and decorate as you wish, and access the day after to clear up and clear out, to leave the place more or less as you found it please!  We would like to give you as much freedom as possible, within a few basic and sensible rules of course (freedom comes with responsibility). The marquee.  At 30m long by 12m wide, the magnificent marquee will comfortably seat 200 guests at 5’6” round tables, which sit up to 10 people on each.  The tables and gilt chairs with ivory cushions are provided. The marquee is lined and carpeted and lit with dimmable chandeliers and up-lights.  There is a 3m wide entrance porch and other exits to comply with fire regulations.  There is also a large dance floor.  You are welcome to arrange the caterer (we can recommend, of course see the ‘Links’ page), the entertainment and/or music and liquid refreshments for your guests as you wish. If you prefer to alter the colour scheme to put you own stamp on the event, please discuss and you may cover the costs yourselves separately.  At the far end there is a catering area with power and water and some work surfaces, but your caterer may wish, and is welcome, to familiarise themselves with what is available beforehand. For smaller events, we can partition the marquee to more intimate proportions. 

Car Parking.  Cars are parked in the field just across the lane from the entrance toOldBridge.  The wide hard surface gateway leads into a level mown grass paddock with plenty of room and is very close.  For VIPs, elderly, infirm or the disabled, cars may enter the drive to let down these guests closer to the action, before returning to park in the parking area. Cars are parked at their owner’s risk. Sorry, but no camping!  

Toilets.  A modern, purpose built toilet block is available, together with full facilities for the disabled. No smelly port-a-loos here!

Brides. During wedding receptions, we offer a large en-suite double bedroom on the first floor of our house, overlooking the south lawn and marquee, for the exclusive use of the bride and groom and their immediate entourage.  This facility is offered exclusively for weddings and is not available for overnight accommodation.
